Near the Fremantle Arts Centre

Available July 2010:

Situated just opposite the beautiful old Fremantle Arts centre within an easy walk of the city centre, this upmarket modern house is a hidden surprise as it is within the walls of an old corner shop built in the late 19th century. Now a two bedroom, two bathroom home complete with stainless steel fittings and benchtops, commercial size oven and a home theatre area. Although it is built onto the street it is highly secure and very quiet - you see out - the passersby can't see in.

Two sections of bifold doors open to a substantial outdoor deck area with large outdoor setting and pretty garden nook. The original front door is now closed and access is from a gate next to the roller door to the parking area within the walls of James. There is secure parking for two cars parked behind one another behind the roller door and high walls.

The house has ducted reverse cycle (heating and cooling) system throughout the house with the second bedroom having its own reverse cycle aircon. Therefore the second bedroom occupant has complete control over their comfort. There is also a twin system that allows fresh air to be pumped into the house if it is cooler outside and this provides good movement of air. There is a fan over the master bed.

The location, right opposite the Fremantle Arts Centre, the Fremantle Leisure Centre and a CAT bus stop means that you can eat at the cafe at the Arts Centre and then work off the damage in the swimming pools, spa and gym of the leisure centre and then, using the free on the free CAT bus, head down to South Beach for a swim !! Fremantle Centre is just a stroll away across Fremantle Park. As the house is on the corner there are no neighbours to consider. Look over the wall of the outdoor area to the giant gum and plane trees within the Arts Centre, appreciate the dying rays of the sun as they reflect off the large limestone walls of the Arts Centre - listen to the birds who roost in the grounds in the evenings or watch the sunset from the "pointy" end of the house.
